Front Exterior Before Remodel
Front Exterior After Remodel
The photos in this section shows the before and after views of a full exterior facia remodel. We purchased a home to remodel and flip, and this the result of our remodeling efforts.
In the before photo, you can see the dark and opressive appearence of this house prior to our remodeling effort. The color scheme was a series of brown colors. And the area around the front door was so dark that it disappeared into a black hole in the center of the house. The exterior surface was a distressed wood treatment, but we felt it looked more like termites were eating the house fromt the outside. There were two large sliding glass windows, one in each bedroom, that looked completely out of place. And there were large adobe brick column surrounds along the front sidewalk, two of the three which I had already removed in this before picture, and the third you can see blocking one of the windows.
In the after photos, we replaced all of the windows, including installing new standard bedroom windows in place of the sliders. And on the bedroom windows we installed faux shutters to add more curbside appeal. We removed all of the column wraps and just went with painted posts, in order to make the posts fade into the background. We installed a new front double door, and stained the door brighten the entry way. We installed a three foot course of the faux stone treatment along the entire frontside of the building. Above the stone treatment, we install a horizontal edge overlapped clabboard painted a shade of blue. The window trim matched the house trim in a lighter shade of beige.
