Kitchen Before Remodel
The photos in this section shows the before and after views of a complete kitchen remodel. We purchased a home to remodel and flip, and this was part of the overall remodeling effort.
In the before picture, the original kitchen was a disaster. A learge flourescent light in the middle, and a large soffit overhanging the top of the cabinets, closing in the limited space. A sink that was not in the center of the window because of the old dishwasher. A dual oven unit that was hideous and too large for the space. Old cabinets with black hardware, and uguly brown ceramic tile countertops. And a well used old linoleum floor treatment.
In the after photos, we completed a complete overhaul, down to the 2 by 4 frame and back again. New recessed lighting on dimmers, with a new ceiling, and then removed all of the soffit to open up the available volume of the room. We opened up the wall to the family room to add the feeling of a larger area. We installed all new maple kitchen cabinets, and countertops with black granite tile and backsplash. We installed all new stainless steel appliances, and relocated the dishwasher so that the new stainless sink could be located in the middle of the window, with a view to the backyard pool. We installed a built-in microwave unit above the glass top stove. And we added glass front doors to the corner hung cabinets. The floor was a beautiful slate tile application to balance the granite counters. We even install new doors on the pantry to match the cabinets.
