Basement Bathroom Before Remodel
The photos in this section shows the before and after views of an unfinished basement remodel, which we installed a new half bathroom, and this vanity was a centerpiece of the room decor.
We were undecided with the treatment of our 1/2 bathroom that we were installing in our basement. Originally, we had planned on installing a pedestal sink, and that we would purchase an install some sort of medicine cabinet in this space. We jsut so happened to have another issue in this space having to do with the location of a vent line for the toilet, and we chose to build a false wall in the corner to hide this vent line, and we had planned to install shelving into that corner wall.
Along with that decision, we found we had a 50" space remaining for the sink area, and we were still planing on a pedestal sink. But when we were shopping for sinks, we came across this vanity unit with the granite countertop and white inlay sink, and we fell in love with it's beauty. We were able to get this vanity to match our available space, and the end result far exceed our expectations. We no longer need a medicine cabinet, and this beautiful piece of furniture made the look for our bathroom. The white color balance well with the other feature in the room, and the baseboard trim as well. And the white provided a good contrast againt the darker wood flooring material.
