Home Theater
The photos in this section shows the result a completing a remodel of our unfinished basement. We created a home theater room, with stadium seating which seats seven people in full reclining theater chairs.
We had the vision to build our home theater in the classic style of decor, utilizing the three color scheme of red, black and gold. We were very careful to repeat this color scheme through the room. We created red carpet, red curtins and red fabric all panels. We used gold trim on the curtins, gold highlights in the carpet pattern, gold color columns, and gold details in between the wall fabric panels. We have black home theater reclining chairs, with gold cup holders, black cabinets and TV/audio equipment, black ceiling, and black baseboard and mill work trim around the fabric wall panels.
Even on our double door entry, we painted the inside of the doors black and gold, whereby the six raised panels are gold set into a black surround, and black door casing (photos are on another page).
For the carpeting, we wanted a predominately red colored back ground to anchor the black chairs, and we specifically looked for a curly cue pattern that would tie the gold into the overall scheme, without overpowering the red tone. In several of the carpets we passed up, we found that the pattern actually became more predominant that the back ground color, and that was not readily appearent unless you view a photo of the carpet installed in a larger room, compared to the store sample.
